The Elgin Regiment Band
Bands have played a prominent role in military regiments for centuries. The Elgin Regiment is no exception. A community favourite, the Elgin Regiment Band was known for its performances in parades and many Remembrance Day ceremonies not to mention practice nights when the sounds of Old 95 and Waltzing Matilda floated through the valleys of St. Thomas. The Band also had the pleasure of playing for the Queen and the late Queen Mother when the the band toured the British Isles on several of their many trips abroad.
