The Hall of Honour

Main Display Case in Hall of Honour


The museum has a large collection of military decorations which are proudly displayed in the Hall of Honour. The collection is mainly focused on Canadian, British Empire and Commonwealth awardsFirst Silver Cross case dating from the 18 th century to the present day. The highest award currently on display is the Order of the British Empire which was awarded to Col. Galloway. You can see these medals in the center of the picture above.

In our Hall of Honour visitors may view all sets of medals that have been entrusted to the Museum by veterans or their families. The Museum is honoured add the medals of any veteran to the Hall of Honour. If you have a set of medals that you would like to donate, please click here to contact us and for more information.

Located just outside the Hall of Honour is the Museum display of the Memorial Cross or Silver Cross. These medals are awarded to wives and mothers of a soldiers killed in action. More recently the recipient group was expanded to include male spouses of female soldiers who are killed in action.
