James Fenwick McMillan
At the time of the outbreak of World War I in Europe, James Fenwick McMillan was a medical student at Western University (now the University of Western Ontario) in London, Ont. At the age of 19 he enlisted with the Canadian Army in London on May 10, 1916. He was then sent to the No. 10 Stationary Hospital for the Canadian Expeditionary Force. The hospital was created and operated by Western University Students at St. Omer, France from October 1914 to May 1918.
