The Submarine
In the Main Exhibit Room is a mock-up part of a small "S" class submarine, used by the Royal Navy. Designed primarily as a play area for children visiting the Museum, it does illustrate the problems of space which beset the crew of a Submarine. It’s great for the kids because it allows them use Morse Code, look through the periscope, and imagine themselves as submariners.
