The Hall of Honour
The museum has a large collection of military decorations which
are proudly displayed in the Hall of Honour. The collection is
mainly focused on Canadian, British Empire and Commonwealth awards
dating from the 18 th century to the present day. The highest award
currently on display is the Order of the British Empire which was
awarded to Col. Galloway. You can see these medals in the center
top of the first picture below.
In our Hall of Honour visitors may view all sets of medals that
have been entrusted to the Museum by veterans or their families.
The Museum is honoured add the medals of any veteran to the Hall of
Honour. If you have a set of medals that you would like to donate,
please contact us for more information.
The Memorial Cross or Silver Cross medals are awarded to
wives and mothers of members of the military killed in action. More
recently the recipient group was expanded to include male spouses
of female soldiers who are killed in action.
